Norhill Homes for Sale
Norhill real estate north of downtown is a planned community whose initial residents were working-class families. Houston businessman Will Hogg developed the neighborhood in the 1920s. The majority of homes for sale in the area are Craftsman bungalows. These bungalows were built from commercially available plans sold through catalogs such as Sears Roebuck and a Ladies' Home Journal. The homes feature rooms that open up to each other and covered porches anchored by brick pillars and tapered wood columns, which provide an outdoor living space and low-pitched roofs. Today, Norhill still maintains a collection of various homes built in various bungalow styles. The most common styles include Colonial, Spanish, Craftsman, Hipped, and English.

Norhill's design features curbs, streets, sidewalks, and water and sewer lines. The community's main thoroughfare is Norhill Boulevard which runs the entire length of the neighborhood.
