Westbury is Houston's second largest subdivision, giving the neighborhood a quiet, suburban vibe. Home construction in the area dates back to the 1950s and development continues today. The area comprises over 5,000 homes and covers 1,900 acres which are subdivided into 9 sections. The community showcases different architectural styles, though most residences lean towards single-family traditional designs. A diverse selection of educational institutions serves the neighborhood. The Houston ISD serves Westbury with the award-winning schools of Kolter Elementary, Johnston Middle School, and Westbury High School.
